DESCRIPTION:TARIMBA explores a rich variety of Latin American genres including boleros\, Cuban son\, landó and cumbia. TARIMBA is a collective comprised of local Bay Area musicians who have embraced the traditional genre of Son Jarocho music from southern Veracruz\, Mexico.\n\n  \nPerformers:\nKyla Danysh – violin\, jarana segunda & vocals\nLolis García – jarana tercera\, zapateado\, quijada & vocals\nPedro Rosales – cajón peruano & vocals\nAladino Manyoma – guitar & vocals \nThe core members of TARIMBA\, Lolis García and Kyla Danysh\, are experienced multi-instrumentalists who actively perform and teach in the Bay Area music community. Pedro Rosales\, co-founder and former artistic director of De Rompe y Raja Cultural Association and leader of Proyecto Lando\, is an accomplished cajón player and percussionist in the Afro-Peruvian tradition. Aladino Manyoma is a celebrated sonero and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia. \nLearn more about TARIMBA here. \nAdmission: $10-15.
