SUMMARY:MAPP: Mission Arts Performance Project
DESCRIPTION:Black & Brown Lives Matter: From the Mission to Ayotzinapa\, Ferguson to Gaza \nCo-curated by Melonie J. Green and the Red Poppy Resident Artist Cohort. Conversation hosted by Melonie J. Green and Melorra J. Green \nThe Red Poppy Art House resident artist cohort collaborates with “Ubuntu: Can Art Save a Community?” documentary and book project featuring artivists\, community organizers and residents of neighborhoods addressing engaged social change and gentrification. Connecting this struggle to that of our Southern neighbors\, we will open the evening with a report-back and slide-show presentation from colleagues working with the families of the 43 students that were disappeared in Ayotzinapa\, MX\, last September. \n1:00pm-6pm: Family Art Project\n“Hand’s Up” (for ages 3-12)\, art activities led by Sofia Elias\, Mia Eve Rallow\, Mari Martinez\, and Caleb Duarte\nBus Painting for Ayotzinapa with Alisandro and Simone \n6:00pm-10:00pm: Exhibition & Street-side Live Art Engagement \n#KissMyBlackArts Collective\, Malik Seneferu\, Harrison Love\, and Todd T.
