DESCRIPTION:An embrace of traditional Jazz and new innovations \nAs one of jazz’s premier bassists Jeff Denson is always looking for situations that allow for maximum creative freedom\, like his long-running gig with alto sax legend Lee Konitz\, or the collective trio Minsarah. One of his two new duo albums\, “I’ll Fly Away” which he worked on with Joshua White\, who he met in 2005 studying at UC San Diego\, showcases his virtuosity and exquisite musicality while providing a fascinating window into his vast range as an improviser.
