DESCRIPTION:Original Soul and Blues \nTrained in classical piano as a child\, Irene Diaz sprung onto the Los Angeles music scene in late 2011\, starting in small coffee shops before making her way into well known LA venues like Room 5 and Hollywood’s House of Blues. Since then she has risen to national attention\, airing on NPR and raising $10\,000 through Kickstarter\, which allowed her to fund her “I Love You Madly EP” as well as an East Coast tour. Diaz’s voice is deep and mournful\, adding darkness to a clear piano\, guitar and string accompaniment while maintaining a certain playful twist.
