DESCRIPTION:  \nNEAR EAST FLAMENCO at RED POPPY! \n  \nSounds of Andalusia woven in with the Black Sea\, the modes\, movement and tonalities of flamenco with Arabic and Turkish maqam\, all grounded in a latin jazz pulse – this is La Ruya\, a new direction in “flamenco fusion.” At the heart of the band lay the meeting of oud with guitar\, and in turn of both with the dance.
