$10 – $15Ensemble Mik Nawooj returns to the Red Poppy to present C.R.E.A.M., Shame on a Nigga and Wu-Tang Clan Ain’t Nothing ta Fuck Wit from Enter the Wu-Tang (36 Chambers), and Gin & Juice from Doggystyle. This concert continues their Artist Residency in which EMN will do a partial premiere of a 6 piece commission for Yerba Buena Center for the Arts. EMN music director, composer, and pianist JooWan Kim will re-imagine 6 classic hip-hop songs from 1993 for YBCA’s “Clas/sick Hiphop II: 93’ Til” celebration in November. EMN will also present original music from their upcoming first studio album.

Tiffany Austin who is also a artists in residence at the Red Poppy will open for EMN, providing a brief taste of her show at the Red Poppy upcoming on August 24, 2014. Vocalist, composer, and Los Angeles native, Tiffany possesses a soulful and subtle delivery, has graced the stages of SFJAZZ, the Healdsburg Jazz Festival, and the Yerba Buena Gardens Festival.
