San Francisco-based folk-blues artist Mokai sings and performs his new album Any Distraction’ll Do. Beautiful guitar work underpins a collection of original acoustic Blues, instrumental pieces, and new takes on traditional Country Blues. His Roots sound and authentic fingerpicking are the perfect vehicle for the free-flowing ideas and intricate details in his songs. Shifting in mood between playful and somber, Any Distraction’ll Do is a vital song-cycle that questions the choices we all make. “I like it when Folk-blues guitar styles can be a vehicle for contemporary themes.” says Mokai. “The blues is about life, everybody’s life”.
