ABOUT LITCRAWL 2025:
One of the most anticipated literary nights of the year, San Francisco’s Lit Crawl is a massive, one-night literary pub crawl through San Francisco’s Mission District that caps off our annual Litquake Festival. Lit Crawl SF brings together 250+ authors and close to 5,000 fans for the world’s largest free pop-up literary event.
Started in 2004, Lit Crawl cultivates a unique, resonant brand: smart and silly, worldly and wacky, with events presented in venues usual (bars, cafes, galleries, and bookstores) and unusual (tattoo parlors, barbershops, and laundromats).
Between Borders & Belonging
As immigrants and descendants of immigrants, we understand the power of borders to define us, exclude us, and decide our fate. How can we as writers reclaim and rewrite borders, transforming them from places of fear and division to sites of reunion and belonging? This reading by 17 Syllables–along with audience contributions to a collective poem about belonging–will open up a space in which to remake ourselves and reimagine a future where we can all be safe and free. Featuring Jay Dayrit, Brian Komei Dempster, Lillian Howan, Grace Loh Prasad, Marianne Villanueva.
The Tall Grass in Your Eyes: A reading from Trans Poetry Workshop
Come hear what the poets of Trans Poetry Workshop have to say, and celebrate the release of our anthology, Distilled Devotion. From the bird living at the end of the world, to creating a personal sex golem, to chronicling romance in poetic APA, you won’t want to miss this window into the poetics of the trans community. Come through to buy your copy of Distilled Devotion and get it signed by these fabulous authors.
Nulla is Haunted!
What haunts you? At NULLA IS HAUNTED, we will be conjuring ghosts, memories, strange moods, and mysterious versions of ourselves. Inspired by the older meanings of haunt (to dwell, to frequent), Nulla writers will track presences that linger. Expect all sorts of hauntings: psychic, familial, atmospheric. Join us for a night of literary apparitions, where we explore what’s still here…and what shouldn’t be. Nulla readers are Jennifer Lewis, Ari Moskowitz, Laura Schadler, Alex Dezen, Polly Conway, Michelle Richmond, and Joanna Lioce. See more at thenulla.com
