Huarango: Contemporary Afro-Peruvian Music

$20 – $25Huarango is a contemporary proposal of Afro-Peruvian music, with influences of classical music and jazz, anchored in the strong presence of Afro-Peruvian percussion such as cajón cajita and quijada de burro (donkey’s jawbone).

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Huarango is a new musical project born in the city of Oakland, California, based in Afro-Peruvian musical roots and the cultural heritage of its people. Huarango has the purpose of being an agent of diffusion of Afro-Peruvian culture in the San Francisco Bay Area.
