Custer/James/Amendola/Glasgow: Film Scores Without Films

$20 – $25Joined by New York vocalist Diana Mangano, four Bay Area musical treasures convene for one night to present the music of Beth Custer and David James, and to explore spontaneous improvisations. Custer’s growling bass clarinet meets James’s versatile guitar, on a bed of grooves by Amendola and Glasgow.

Beth Custer is an Emmy Award-winning composer, performer, recording artist, bandleader, and the proprietor of BC Records. She has numerous recordings out with the Beth Custer Ensemble, Eighty Mile Beach, Clarinet Thing, Trance Mission, and Club Foot Orchestra. Custer has composed for ensembles, theater productions, dance troupes, film, and television, and her numerous awards include artist residencies, a McKnight Fellowship, Meet The Composer New Residency awards, American Composers Forum Commissioning, San Francisco Arts Commission Individual Artist grants, Zellerbach Family Fund awards, and an Aaron Copland Recording Fund award.
