Guitarist/composer Ricardo Peixoto is among the top representatives of Brazilian guitar in the United States today. Born in Rio de Janeiro, his fluid melodic style and keen compositional sense explore his country’s rich and diverse traditions, both in original works and arrangements of Brazilian classics. He has recorded and performed with Claudia Villela, Flora Purim and Airto, Bud Shank, Dom Um Romão, Sivuca, Toots Thielemans, Dori Caymmi, Guinga, Claudio Roditi, and Terra Sul. In addition to his work as a performer and composer, Ricardo is well respected as a teacher and lecturer on Brazillian music.

A master of 6- and 7-string guitars, Rogério Souza is one of the foremost representatives of music from Rio de Janeiro.
