RHQuartet ft. Richard Howell: This Is What Love Sounds Like

Returning to the roots of improvisation, saxophonist Richard Howell reunites with fellow improvisers from the acclaimed group RHQ, which featured phenomenal pianist Frederick Harris and spirited bassist Gary Brown. Elé Howell, a disciple of the great E.W. Wainwright, brings an energetic flow and a powerhouse approach.

Drawing upon the ancestry of jazz, the essence of soul, and the sensibility of pop, award-winning saxophonist Richard Howell and his group RHQuartet push the boundaries of the genre while honoring the roots of the music. Howell honed his craft performing alongside artists like Etta James, Chaka Khan, and Maurice White, and his latest CD, Burkina (with guest Christian Scott), reflects the passion and joy Howell brings to his music.
