Raul Perales Quartet has an extensive collective resume. They have formed a part of many distinguished ensembles and backed many artists throughout the US including Van Hunt (Maya), Katchafire (Rafa), Meshell Ndegeocello (John), Linda Tillery (Valerie), and Kev Choice (Raul). They have gathered to exploit their ability as composers of original, contemporary music. The music is as much informed by jazz as it is by gospel and R&B and while this blend is not new it is expressed in a way that has universal appeal as well as a flavor particular to the East Bay.
