Mark Zaleski Band: High-Energy Jazz

Boston-based multi-instrumentalist Mark Zaleski comes to San Francisco to celebrate the release of his second album, Days, Months, Years. The album includes clever compositions combined with choice standards reimagined to fit the style of his band of 10 years. Zaleski performs on saxophone this evening as he puts his own spin on modern jazz by incorporating his love of rock music with his jazz training.

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Internationally touring musician Mark Zaleski has distinguished himself as a dynamic soloist, multi-instrumentalist, and bandleader. He has performed with a diverse group of notable artists including Dave Brubeck, Christian McBride, Ian Anderson, Connie Francis, Mahmoud Ahmed, Rakalam Bob Moses, Tiger Okoshi, Antonio Sanchez, the Either/Orchestra, Jason Palmer, and Matt Savage. The Mark Zaleski Band performs a remarkable jazz/rock blend with influences ranging from Cannonball Adderley to Jimi Hendrix, with a fiery front line of two strong saxophonists.
