Manuel & Artemisa and Alfredo Gomez: Sounds of Old Folk & Contemporary Mexican Music

July 18, 2015 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

$10 – $15
Artemisa and Manuel have been performing together since 2014, however their extensive background in music includes choral music, opera, blues and rock as their main influences. The duo was born in the search of dignifying the old Mexican way of making music. The heart of this project lies in those days in which our most profound and intimate feelings were translated into romantic music and lyrics that reflected our desire of love. A simple guitar and two voices in harmony is all they need to create and express.

Alfredo Gomez is a passionate composer from Mexico, where he developed his love for music. He takes the guitar in his hands as if it were his favorite muse, taking the audience in a very special and emotional trip to his dreams, reality, and thoughts. Alfredo has collaborated with various local artists in all kind of events around the Mission. He has two recordings titled Quien Es? and Del Fuego.

Featuring:
