A Night of Intimate, Evocative Songwriters
Come join us for Ila Cantor’s CD Release, Highlights of the Grey, as well as a separate performance by Jacob Aranda Band. Together, these two songwriters promise a night of soulful and personal music.
Ila Cantor is a guitarist, composer, and singer/songwriter who has performed worldwide. Highlights of the Grey is her third original album. Cantor’s emotional songwriting takes unusual and beautiful turns captivating her listeners. Throughout her career, Cantor has received grants from the Van Lier Fellowship, as well as the Open Arts Foundation for Merit in Composition. Cantor resides in the Bay Area, where she performs, writes, teaches, and records music.
Jacob Aranda is a singer/songwriter from Chicago who has recently moved to San Francisco. Outside of songwriting, Aranda also plays guitar, banjo, mandolin, and pedal steel with several bands in the Bay Area. His music is captivating and emotionally enchanting, while conveying a sense of joy. Aranda resides in the Outer Sunset performing, writing and building guitars at Woodshop.
