Out of an abundance of caution and to align with current public health
recommendations regarding COVID-19, we’ve made the difficult decision to
cancel all programs and performances at Red Poppy Art House through
April 15. We will be in touch with anyone who has purchased tickets and we will
refund you.
This is a very difficult time for many so let us all make sure to share
kindness and a smile and take good care of each other.

Huarango is a contemporary proposal of Afro-Peruvian music, with influences of classical music, jazz and funk, anchored in the strong presence of Afro-Peruvian percussion such as cajón, cajita and quijada de burro (donkey’s jawbone).

ABOUT THE ARTIST:
Huarango is a new musical project born in the city of Oakland, California, based in Afro-Peruvian musical roots and the cultural heritage of its people. Huarango has the purpose of being an agent of diffusion of Afro-Peruvian culture in the San Francisco Bay Area.
