SF Offside Festival is proud to present music by two of the Bay Area’s leading composers and improvisers. Eric Garland’s Hodge Podge Ensemble features his original compositions for an eclectic collection of instruments, forcing Garland and members to explore new ways to tackle the modern jazz chamber group. Marcus Stephens’ Markstep Trio is a fresh take on the classic organ trio, mixing elements of jazz, funk, soul and hip hop.
