Broken Shadows Family Band

Broken Shadows Family Band is comprised of an all-star cast of musicians from diverse backgrounds; Western European to Arabic classical music, slavic choral music to Americana, classic jazz to the sounds of Macedonia and beyond. They’ve created a truly unique sound, balancing the old with the new, and telling human anecdotes that are ready to be danced to. Originals by trumpeter/composer Darren Johnston are extremely unique and integrate selections of recorded interviews and letters by immigrants in the US. Other selections will include traditional favorites, and surprising and exciting takes on popular covers.
