Ampersan: Mexican Electro-Folk Rock

August 28, 2016 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

$12 – $15

Join Ampersan in a sonic journey through the landscapes of Mexico and Latin America. Their music brings together the feelings of peasant songs, son, and psychedelica with rock, rap, and electronica.

Featuring:
Zindu Cano – jarana, acoustic guitar, vocals
Kevin García – punteador, electric guitar, vocals

Since its inception in 2007, Ampersan has rooted their sound in the traditional acoustic music of Mexico, with forays into contemporary classical music and experimentation. The duo’s compositions have been used for dance performances, puppet theatre, documentaries, and short films. With two albums and a DVD, Ampersan has performed to great acclaim throughout Mexico, Spain, Germany, Uruguay, Argentina, Guatemala, and the U.S.

Admission: $12-15. Doors at 7:00pm. Show at 7:30pm. All ages welcome.
